Corrine "Coke" Ambrose, 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 8, 2024. She was born on July 16, 1932 to the late Emmett and Bertha Manley.
She was married to the love of her life, John "Jack" Ambrose for 47 years. She did not pursue paid employment, but instead chose to devote her life to being a wife and mother. It was a blessing for her children. In addition to being a loving wife and mother, she was a devoted member of Middleport First Baptist Church. Her sense of humor and wit will remain unmatched, with a level of spice her family and caregivers will not soon forget.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack Ambrose, her oldest daughter Janet Marie, and her precious cat of 19 years, Sandy.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Carlos) Geyer of Bunn, NC; grandsons John (Kimberly) Ambrose of Marietta, OH and Adam Geyer of Raleigh, NC; great grandchildren, Dana Roberts of Long Bottom, OH, Jack and Isaac Ambrose of Galena, OH. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and of special mention, her Cathy Ann.
Coke's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude and thanks to the team at Marietta Hospice Care, Amedysis, and especially to Emily and Miss Jean for the love and gentleness in the care they showed to Coke.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 11:00am at Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Middleport with Pastor Billy Zuspan officiating. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Monday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home in Middleport.
