Timothy Michael “Puncher” or “Cowboy” McDaniel, Sr., 65, Vinton, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023 following a hard-fought battle with cancer. Born February 15, 1957 in Mason, West Virginia, he was the son of Everett and Phyllis McDaniel. Tim owned/operated his own trucking company for many years. He enjoyed vacationing at the beach, and he loved building model trains and cars. He enjoyed watching his favorite gaming streamers– yet his greatest passion was his family that he loved very much.
Those left behind to cherish his memory in addition to his parents are his children: Melissa (Chuck) Burris, Timothy Michael (Heather) McDaniel, Jr., Rachel McDaniel Eakins, Krysta (David) Weinstock and Joseph Dustin McDaniel; grandchildren: Samantha, Kashton, Faith, Jordynn, Lucien, Andrew, Bella, Vincent and Owen; brother, Randy (Lori) McDaniel and sister, Debi (John) Grubb and nephews: Robert John Grubb II and Christopher Grubb as well as several extended family members and friends.
Tim was preceded in death by a brother, Roger McDaniel.
A Celebration of Life for Tim will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, February 4, 2023 in the Ewing Schwarzel Family Center, 106 Mulberry Ave, Pomeroy, Ohio. In accordance with his wishes, Tim donated his body to medical science in hopes of helping find a cure for others with cancer.
