POMEROY - Approval to readvertise for bids on a new fire truck was
given to the Pomeroy Fire Department
by Pomeroy Village Council Monday

.
Rick Blaettnar, fire chief, met with
council to discuss the truck, what specification changes have been made, and
how it could affect the price.
Two bids received earlier were rejected because they exceeded the $350,000
which council and the fire department
had agreed to spend on a new customized fire/pumper truck.
Blaettnar said he had been working
with a fire truck manufacturer and felt
they had gotten to a point where a bid
satisfactory ·to everyone would come in.
