Rev. Charles E. Curry, 95, of Gallipolis, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord and his beautiful wife of seventy-one years, Nada Jean, on Friday, February 28, 2025. Born on October 10, 1929 in Monaville, West Virginia to Rev. Jeff Curry and Mary Wooten Curry, he was a devoted Free Will Baptist minister who faithfully served his congregations and communities since 1960. Rev. Curry was preceded in death by his loving wife of seventy-one years, Nada Jean (Beckett) Curry; his beloved daughter, Sheila Jean Turn; his parents; and siblings including Levie Curry, Lenard Curry, Hester Brooks, Ada Adkins, Stella Marten, Margie Curry, Oakley Curry, Juanita Hamilton, Eileen Ferrell, Rhoda Knox, and Leslie Curry.

Prior to finding his calling as a minister, Rev. Curry worked for the Chesapeake & Ohio (C&O) Railroad for 30 years and had many stories that entertained his grandchildren throughout his life. Rev. Curry demonstrated unwavering dedication to his faith and to spreading God's word. He served many congregations across Ohio and West Virginia during his decades of ministry. His preaching and pastoral care touched countless lives, offering spiritual guidance and comfort. Throughout his life, Rev. Curry had a deep love for gospel music, fishing, and southern food. His laugh was contagious and memorable. He will be deeply missed here on earth, but his legacy of faith and love continues in the hearts of all who knew him. He is survived by his sons, Charles Randall Curry (Cheryl) and Larry Keith Curry (Elena); grandchildren, Amy, Jenny, Mike, Willis, Regina, and Jeff along with six great-grandchildren; and his brother, Don Curry.

The funeral service for Rev. Charles Curry will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Willis Funeral Home with Mick Browning and George Vastine officiating. His burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Willis Funeral Home.
