            <text>Cody John David “Cody-Jay” Johnson, 31, of Gallipolis, passed away at 12:32 p.m. on Sunday, January 28, 2024 in the Holzer Medical Center, Gallipolis. Born January 11, 1993 in Gallipolis he is the son of John D. Johnson who survives in Gallipolis, and Summer Campbell Garcia who also survives in Phoenix, Arizona. He touched everyone’s life that he encountered with and he was such a loveable person, he would give the shirt right off his back if someone needed it.&#13;
&#13;
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, River Johnson, of Gallipolis, and Kayson Johnson, of West Virginia, the mothers of his children, Kelsey Hilderbrant and Grayden Hammond, a special grandmother that he loved so much, Teresa Campbell, and a special friend who was more like a brother to him, Brendan Pompender. Half-sisters, Harmony Garcia, and Havana Garcia, half-brothers, Devin Russell, and Cuba Garcia, all of Phoenix, special aunts, Barbara Arthur and Sue Johnson, six cousins that were also like brothers and sisters to him, Sean Long, Shelby Long, Joseph Gallo, Jayden Johnson, Jessi Wycuff, and Brittany Riddle.  He has many aunts, uncles, and cousins and one nephew Jenario Garcia, who also survive.&#13;
&#13;
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John W. Johnson, Linda L. Johnson, David E. Johnson, and an aunt, Darlene Johnson.&#13;
&#13;
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2024 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis. Pastor Dave Liuzzo will officiate and interment will follow in the Centenary cemetery. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.</text>
