Sandy was born December 16, 1952 in Guyan Township, Ohio, daughter of the late Merril and Alice (Bush) Caldwell. She was a 1971 graduate of Hannan Trace High School and retired from Holzer Medical Center following forty plus years of service as a medical records/billing clerk. Sandy married the love of her life, Sam Holstein, October 9, 1976 in Mercerville, Ohio and he precedes her in death January 13, 2017. Sandy enjoyed traveling and finding ways to make everyone around her smile. Her world revolved around her family - she was a loving daughter, sister, wife and mother and will be greatly missed by her son, Chris Holstein; siblings: Barbara (Roland) Johnson, Alice King, Kenneth (Norma) Caldwell, Merril “Bubby” Caldwell, Linda Caldwell and Janet (Mark) Racer; one granddaughter and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by son, Paul Holstein and sister, Marilyn Stormer. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 19, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home, Wetherholt Chapel, Gallipolis, Ohio. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Mercerville, Ohio. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home 11:00 AM-1:00 PM service time.
