James Joseph “Joe” Kiskis, 68, of Xenia, Ohio passed away peacefully with family on Sunday, September 10, 2023 after a long and brave battle with cancer.
Joe was born in Springfield, Ohio on March 19, 1955 to Zoie Kiskis Taylor and James Kiskis.
He was a 1973 graduate of Gallia Academy High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society.
Joe enjoyed searching fields for arrowheads with his brother Tom. In recent years, he traded and collected Vintage HO Scale slot cars. He was also the inventor of the Grounds KeeperTM coffee maker accessory.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, James Mathew Kiskis; brother, Thomas Andrew Kiskis; and stepfather, Robert Taylor.
He is survived by a daughter, Erika Kiskis and grandson, Dylan Joseph Kiskis.
Also surviving are his mother, Zoie Kiskis Taylor; sisters, Brenda Elliott (Ross), Karen McCarty (David), and Elaine Kiskis (Robbie); brothers, Kenneth Kiskis (Karen) and Danield Kiskis (Cecilia Mercante); stepmother, Norma Kiskis; nieces, Kelci Rodriguez (Gabriel), Rebecca Davis (Andy), Krystal Foster (Daniel), Morgane Mouslim (Morgan), April Kiskis, Autumn Harris (B.J.), and Shelby Johnson (A.J.); nephews, Michael Null (Tara) and Nathan Kiskis; special friend, Lenora Geeslin; and extended family and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held for Joe at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023 in Gravel Hill Cemetery, 1079 Gravel Hill Road, Cheshire, Ohio 45620.
