            <text>Beverly Ray (Thornton) Gordy, 57, of Mason, WV, formerly of Frankfort, KY, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at home.&#13;
&#13;
She was born May 24, 1965, in Frankfort, KY, a daughter of the late Martin Ray and Sandra (Bowen) Thornton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin D. Gordy and one great nephew.&#13;
&#13;
Beverly was a homemaker and a member of the Open Door Baptist Church in Carrollton, KY. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and camping. Beverly also loved spending time with her family, especially her niece, nephews, and great nephews.&#13;
&#13;
Survivors include her sister, Vanessa Woods of Worthville, KY; one niece; two nephews; five great nephews and a host of friends in Mason and in Kentucky.&#13;
&#13;
Services will be private.&#13;
