Text Any textual data included in the document Albert Sedwick Harmon passed away peacefully at his home in Minersville, Ohio, after a long illness on August 3, 2022 at the age of 73. He was born on March 12, 1949 on the family farm to Woodrow & Alta Mae Dudgeon Harmon. He was a graduate of Rutland High School, class of 1967 and later earned an Associate Degree in Business, Major in Business Administration from the Gallipolis Business College in 1979. Albert was an avid outdoorsman, obtaining his first gun at the age of 7, growing up alongside his beloved sister Margaret Ann, in 4-H and farming. After graduation, he worked the farm and hunted with his pony, Target, for 2 years until he was drafted by the United States Army in May of 1969. He served 19 months in Korea and Vietnam as a cook and sharp shooter. He returned home quietly in 1971 and was employed at the Meigs Inn as night manager and bartender. He went on to marry his beloved wife, April Teaford on May 12, 1973. A few years after starting a family, he chose employment with Foote & Mineral in New Haven, WV. He continued to farm his whole life, on his own land as well as his father's and helping out neighbors. He raised his children with life lessons in survival, with daily biology sessions on wildlife and outdoor skills. Albert is survived by his wife April Lynn Teaford Harmon, two daughters, Wendi Miller (Paul Will, Jr) and Crystal (Jeff) Hatfield, special niece Jeannette Murray and special nephews, Randall (Angela) Griffith, Caleb (Jennifer) Griffith, as well as Brothers-in-law, Virgil (Deanna) Teaford II, Bruce Teaford, nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He leaves behind his 8 beloved grandchildren, Austin Miller, Jasina and Woodrow Will, and Scott, Elijah, Moriah, Alyssa and Jesse Hatfield, as well as 2 great grand daughters Elizabeth and Helena Miller. In addition to his parents, Albert is preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Ann Griffith, brother in-law Daniel Griffith, sister in -law Martha Sue Teaford. He is also preceded in death by his daily companion, Ally Cat Harmon. Family and friends are welcome for a Memorial Service on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 11:00 am as we celebrate his life.
