            <text>Kenneth Rolland Theiss, 96, of Racine, passed away at 9:05 a.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. Born October 21, 1921 in Racine, he was the son of the late Carl and Belle Karr Theiss.&#13;
&#13;
 He was a retired Construction Superintendent for Karr Construction where he had a hand in a large number of structures throughout regional universities, high schools and area infrastructure projects. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church since childhood, where he served as superintendent and trustee. He also was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran where he served in the Pacific Theater, a member of the Racine American Legion Post # 602, and also a member of the Tuppers Plains V.F.W. Post 9053.&#13;
&#13;
He is survived by his wife, Bernice Stowe Theiss, whom he married on April 5, 1947 in Syracuse, two daughters, Sharon (Roger) Birch, and Donna (Dan) Sayre, of Racine, two sons, Kenneth (Debbie) Theiss, Jr., of Carroll, Oh., and David (Sandra) Theiss, of Westerville, Oh., grandchildren, Danny (Crina) Sayre, Dena Lambert, Andrew (Ashley Leonard) Theiss, Chris (Amanda) Theiss, Erin (Chris) Brooks, Adam (Jentry) Thiess, and Andrew Theiss. Five great-grandchildren, Emily Sayre, Zuri and Kenzie Theiss, Aidan and Addie Kate Brooks, and numerous nieces and nephews.&#13;
&#13;
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Herman (Hattie) Theiss, sisters, Irene (Charles) Hoback, and Mildred (Robert) Crawford.&#13;
&#13;
Private graveside will be held in the Greenwood Cemetery on Friday, September 7, 2018 with Rev. Dewayne Stutler officiating and full military Honors provided by area Racine American Legion Post #602. Friends may call from 11-1 p.m. on Friday in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Racine. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Bethany United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 368, Racine.</text>
