Paul David Hager, 79, of Gallipolis, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, December 8, 2019 in the Arbors at Pomeroy, Ohio. Born October 9, 1940 in Culloden, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Willy “Bill” and Eva DePriest Hager. He was a retired construction worker and a member of the Gallipolis Church of Christ and Christian Union.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine D. McChristian Hager, whom he married on August 7, 1976, his children, Timmy (Susan) Hager, of Proctorville, Oh., Todd Hager, of Proctorville, Oh., Billy (Tammy) Glick, of Nelsonville, Oh., Anita (Robert) McBride, of Gallipolis, and Marsha Thompson, of Naples, Fl., Grandchildren, Michelle Glick, Joanne Norton, Charles McGraw, Ryan Ashworth, Chassidy Thompson, and Allison Navy, twelve great-grandchildren. A sister, Geanie Shato, of Patriot, a brother, Ray (Nancy) Hager, of Marlinton, Wv., and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son, Terry Hager, daughter, Rita Mitchell, great-grandson, Matthew Rupe, brothers, Ernie, Freddie, Bob, and Woodrow Hager, and a brother-in-law, Bil Shato.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 in the Cremeens-King Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Buchannon officiating. Interment will be in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service time at the funeral home.
