Mark Long, 41, of Gallipolis, passed away, at 8:51 a.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at his residence. Born September 15, 1979 in Newark, Ohio he was the son of the Late Bob Eugene Long and Dora Cantrell Long, who survives in Gallipolis.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers, Aaron (Leah) Long, of Brooksville, Fl., and Christopher Long, of Gallipolis. Nieces, Amy Long, and Jessica Murphy, nephews, Justin Murphy, and A.J. Pollock, and numerous, aunt, uncles, cousins, and lots of friends also survive.
In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Melvin and Margarete Cantrell, paternal grandparents, Cody and Katherine Long.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 in the Cooper Family Cemetery, Gallipolis Ferry, West Virginia. Rev. Jonathan Mollohan will officiate and interment will follow. In lieu of flowers the family request balloons to be released at the service.
