            <text>Charles L. “Charlie” Shain, 80, of Pomeroy, Ohio passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022, in the Marietta Memorial Emergency Department.  Born on May 24, 1942, he was the son of the late Harry and Hazel Snyder Shain.  He retired from Martin Marietta.  He was a former Meigs County Deputy Sheriff, and a former Racine Town Marshall, and also a former Volunteer Fire Fighter for the Racine Fire Department. He loved horses and he also raised Persian Draft Horses and he enjoyed participating in the horse pulls at the Meigs County Fair.&#13;
       He is survived by his siblings, Ralph William Shain, of Florida, Norma Ann (Bill) Clark, of Columbus, Oh., Alma Ruth Johnson, of Racine, Robert “Sam” (Ruth) Shain, of Racine, Harry Allen Shain, of Bethany, West Virginia, Paul Leonard Shain, of Bidwell, Kathy Searles, of Racine. A sister-in-law Dorothy Shain, special friends, Lester and Pam Parker, and the people of Rinky Dink Flea Market, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.&#13;
      In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cressa Mae Shain, and his siblings George Shain, Susan Hayes, and Danny Shain.&#13;
        Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel at the Letart Falls Cemetery on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 with Pastor John Westover officiating.  Interment will follow in the Letart Falls Cemetery.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Racine is entrusted with the arrangements.</text>
