Ruby Mae Bowens, 82, Hannan Trace Road, Crown City, passed away at 3:10 A.M. Sunday, September 5, 2021, in the Holzer Medical Center. Born November 20, 1938 in Louisa, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late Alan Pauley Moore Dalton. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She married George Bowens Jr. on September 7, 1973 in Columbus, Ohio and he survives as does two children, Chrystal Watson, of Crown City and Barbara (Carl) Fillinger, of Crown City and five grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Bonnie Dalton, of Fort Gay, West Virginia and Susie Dalton, of Paintsville, Kentucky and three brothers, Dan (Ruth) Dalton, of Louisa, Kentucky, John (Bonnie) Dalton, of Louisa, Kentucky and Mack (Linda Jo) Dalton, of Louisa, Kentucky and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bruce (Ruby) Bowens, of Columbus, Ohio and Dan (Julie) Bowens, of Louisa, Kentucky. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Claude Dalton and Dave Dalton. Graveside funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 7, 2021, in the Centenary Cemetery in Green Township. Officiating will be Rev. Jake Watson. Cremeens-King Funeral Home is serving the family.
