Donald Chapman, 53, of Patriot, passed away, at his residence, on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Born April 8, 1968 in Huntington, West Virginia he was the son of the late Bobby “Bob” Chapman and Emma Jean Jeffers Spillman. He was a carpet layer.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Chapman, of Jackson, daughter, Ashley (Jordan) Gillum, of Kingston, and son, Donald Chapman II, of Jackson, grandchildren, Kendall and Karley Gillum. Siblings, Becky (Ted) Perry, of Huntington, WV., Debbie Estep, of Elberta, Al., Mike Spillman, of Gallipolis, Linda Brumfield, of Huntington, Wv, Bobby (Joanna) Chapman, of South Point, Oh., Glen (Angie) Chapman, of Chesapeake, Oh., Tina Chapman, of Huntington, Wv, Beverly Point Pleasant, WV, Tammy (Evan) Newman, of South Point, Oh., Chasity (Bernie) Montejano, of Houston, Tx., Matthew (Sarah) Spillman, of Athens, Oh., and Terry (Lesha) Chapman, of Huntington, Wv., and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-father, who he enjoyed spending time with, Everett Spillman, and his sister, Janet Saenz.
Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Centenary Cemetery. The Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Gallipolis is entrusted with the arrangements.
