Sermonette
"I wllt never leave leave thee nor forsake thee." A Bible promise
tlle church has leaned on down through the renturtes, and they were .
Jesus' own words to His btlowers.
1n a world c1 chaos, dishonesty, persecution and heartache It Is
oomlorting to know there is still One with us - yes, and "until the
end." He said, "One with power, strength, and even knoweth all
tlllngs." One tull of mercy, compassion, and able to endcw us with
persevering grace. One c1 wldsom, understanding, and stilt In full
control.
•
1t It is true that one man and God can move a mighty mountain
then It Is also true that all men minus God are powerless. Paul, a
powerlul-lnfiuence in the New Testament, wrote "If God be for us,
whe can be against us?" He was able to endure a rugged life for one
reason only : The Almighty presence ln his lite. Jesus never left Paul
and never did forsake him.
To be sure then r1 the presence Is a very needful thing. For "who
knoweth what a day may bring forth ." - Rev. Nancy Coyle.
